Boy: (n) a noise with dirt on it.
It's been pretty hot out here so I set the sprinkler up to cool the boys off and put a bit of moisture in our lawn. They were having so much fun and it had been a long time since I had watered our lawn, so I left it on for a while.
Only, my struggling lawn has yet to flourish in some of the dirt patches that I made. So, when the copious amounts of water were added, it turned into a mud puddle.
Just perfect for jumping into and swimming in? Yup, swimming all right.
The fun really kicked in when they found a "dirt caterpiller" (aka to lawn gardeners as a grub).
Yuk!
No wonder my lawn is struggling!
Oh, but why should we stop having fun when an unslightly pest has been found. Jackson came to the rescue, donning his ferocious shark boots . . . and bare bottom?
Yes, aparently grub drowning is a tough job and his swimsuit was too restrictive.
I suppose I should be happy that he was at least wearing foot protection while he swam with grubs.
Boys. Sigh.
