Weekend Getaway

We went to the cottage this past weekend.

It was a nice break, especially since it was raining all weekend down here.

The kids had a blast practicing their swimming techniques, racing around the lake on the sea-doo, and eating, er, playing with sand.

Mom and Dad even got a bit of a nap on one of the days.

The ride up and back though weren't fun at all. Avery was teething adn screaming all the way up, and on the way back down we were stuck in horrible traffic. To make matters worse, when we were in gridlock Jackson announced, "I have to go Pu-ee-ee!"

That usually means we have about 10 seconds to get him seated on a toilet.

We told him he will just have to hold it because we can't stop right here. Brad started to look around the car for an empty cup.

(We did make it to an exit where he could water the lawn.)

When we were about 15 minutes away from home, Jayden made a similar announcement.

Jackson replied for us, "Jayden, you'll just have to hold it."

I have this 9 photo collage frame on the wall in our bedroom that still has photos of Jayden from when we first moved up here. It's well past time for a change and I have been waiting for the right photos to put in it.

Not that these are exactly what I had in mind (technically stellar, knock out photos), but I needed to get something up a little more current. And, since I had them ready, I thought I'd slap them on here too, for fun.
