made an "octopus",

and made a pet rock. (Jackson named him "Mr. Knuckle.")

They do such a great job there--all for $8/hr. And Jackson loves it.
When he walks in, he enthousiastically calls out,
"Hi Guys, I'm here!"
And then he wiggles his way in to where ever the rest of the group are sitting and joins them. (Okay, sometimes he just takes their stuff, but that's kind of joining them at this age.)
Yesterday he sat down and asked who knew how to say, "Au rawr" (aka: Au Revoir en francais). Apparently, they have a French part to their preschool. I think it is supposed to be only for morning students, but it must be seeping into the afternoon because Jackson comes home with new French vocab almost daily.

I love the octopus. That would look way cool framed and on a wall. How many days a week does Jackson go to preschool? Jared loves his preschool and on Monday he painted for the first time, and not from lack of opportunity. I would come and get him and see all of these projects the kids did and not one from Jared. He told me he didn't want to do it. I asked him why and he said he was scared! The kid was scared of the paint. Ridiculous! So I told the teachers that I would really like him to do it. And they were like "he doesn't have to do it if he doesn't want too." I was like, "No, I would really like him to try". So with a little persuasion from them he finally did it. I saw it and got so excited and he exclaimed to me "Mommy, I'm not scared anymore." So silly. I don't know what he thought would happen.
