Pool-Side Beauty

There's no bathing for this kitten!
After loving bath time for the first few months of life, Avery has suddenly developed an adversion to bath time.
I don't know exactly what happened.
One day she got a huge thrill out of splashing warm or cold water all over the place. She loved sitting in the tub. (I would even put her in the tub if she was having a particularly fussy day and it would cheer her up.)
Then, almost the very next day I put her in and just as her toe was beginning to enter the water shrieks began echoing through my bathroom.
Shrieks as though someone were ripping her ear off, or tearing her heart out of her chest.
I tried her in the tub again a few days later to find the same thing. High pitched screaming. It felt like I was bathing her in 100% hydrochloric acid and it was melting her skin and bones off.
I checked the temperature, it felt fine. But, just to be sure, I added in a generous amount of cold water. Still screaming.
Currently, I either bathe her with baby wipes or I have to draw a bath for the two of us to share. And even still, my little kitten claws into my hair as she tries to climb up on top of my head to avoid getting any where near the water.
It is bizzare to me. Both my other two kids loved water. Never had a problem with them. In fact, they usually don't want to come out so they turn into prunes.
Any ideas?? I am sure that by the time she is a teenager she will have caught the vision of why we need to bathe, but in the meantime, she needs to be cleaned every so often.

She is so cute and so is that swim suit! Is she old enough to appreciate bubbles yet? That might help. Evan did a similar thing but he was much older, like 18 months or something. It was hard to get through.
