A really long time.
We almost didn't see it coming. The world was so dark; the light at the end of the tunnel so dim.
After four long, hard years of blood, sweat, tears, and, in a lot of cases, nightmares, the day finally arrived.
Last Friday, Brad graduated.
And after his brief walk in the "light", his new beginning started today, the following Monday.
Hopefully, this next chapter will be much more joyful and fulfilling than his last four years.
It should be! With first days on the job, come the first two weeks. Those weeks inevitably bring a first paycheck. And with that first paycheck, comes the promise of many more.
Not to say that we are only focused on pay-day, but after four years where neither of us was bringing in a steady paycheck, we are happy to welcome them. Even if it means we have to be tax payers again.
Congratulations, Sweetie, you made it! We're all so proud of you! Enjoy the new phase in your life!

Congratulations to the BOTH of you! I do believe the they should give a little medallion or something to the wife who endures graduate school. (Or at least a massage or a chocolate cake or something. :>)
Enjoy the paycheck! (Just don't be angry at how much is going to gas!)
Congrats B-Rad, I know how you feel. I just graduated with my doctorate too, and it is sooooo good to be done. Thanks for allowing me to keep in touch via the blog. Brad, I am jealous at how little you seem to have aged according to your pictures.
