Nice was, well, nice.
I was surprised by how much I really did like it. The buildings were beautiful, the cafes were plentiful, and for the most part, excellent, and the water was gorgeous.
One of our favourite things to do was walk along the Promanade des Anglais. As cliched as that may seem, it really was fun! The scenery was stunning, the street vendors interesting to look at, and then there was an Italian market full of fresh Italian goodies!

We needed to be at the airport at 9:00pm and the sun broke out at about 5:30pm. Our first stop was the beach at Nice . . . until Brad realized that it only had large stones and no sand! We took a few photos and then piled back in the car until we hit St.-Jean-Cap-Ferrat.

One of our favourite places to eat during our trip in the South of France (and my personal favourite for food quality) was this little cafe in Nice. I can't remember the name but it was really delicious. And even though Avery didn't get much more than bread and some prune puree, she sat through the whole meal for us.
Our plates were a little more appetizing. I had a salad with chaud chevre (or baked goat cheese). I can't tell you how tasty it was!
